It was very informative, and it was very fun! I am glad that I went. ### Not a good year for Gastech. — 2/5 *By Diana Larranaga* The show this year was not as good as last year. I was very disappointed with the way the badges were handled because I was the primary contact for the show and I was unable to pick up badges for my colleagues. Not only was I not able to pick up but DMG people were not aware of this and didn't know what was going on with the collection of the badges. My colleagues had to wait in lines and this could of been prevented. It would of been nice to be told that we could of been on a waiting list but DMG failed to mention this to us. Also the catering was a disaster the first day and never got the rest of my lunches. The organizers kept saying it was on its way and never got it. They had no way of contacting the runners of the food and the water they took us for Hot tea was cold....total disaster the first day. We had lunch the second day and they were late taking lunch even though they said they would have it on time because of the mistake the day before. My food was wet and very disappointing...worse service from catering. We order ever year for OTC and never had any issues like the ones we had at Gastech. Other than these two issues the conference was well attended due to the rain in Houston. It was unfortunate for DMG Events to have an event during this time and hope that next will be better for them. Thank you. ### Long wait lines fro preregistered visitors — 3/5 *By Christean Kapp* I was truly amazed to stand in line for one whole hour together with hundreds of others who had preregistered. Poor organization here. I can contrast that well with another similar sized conference I attended a week before where obtaining the badge took a just a few minutes instead. The reason it took so long in my opinion is an inadequate number of staff as well as staff retyping business cards and entering ID information into their computer which took time.
